State-Level Teacher–Student Innovation Hackathon 3.0

AI & Digital Innovation for Solving Real-World Challenges

Government of Uttarakhand | School Education Department | SCERT Uttarakhand

Turn Your Ideas Into Real Solutions

Have you ever thought of an idea that could make your school, village, city, environment or everyday life better?

Hackathon 3.0 is your opportunity to turn that idea into a real solution.

SCERT Uttarakhand is bringing together students and teachers from across Uttarakhand to identify real-world problems, think of innovative solutions and use AI, technology and digital tools to create something useful.

You don't need to be an expert programmer or technology professional. A good idea, curiosity and the willingness to solve a problem are what matter most.

What is Hackathon 3.0?

Hackathon 3.0 is a state-level innovation programme where students and teachers work on real problems and develop innovative solutions.

Participants will go through a step-by-step journey:

Problem → Idea → Guidance → Prototype → Presentation → Innovation

You will get opportunities to learn, receive guidance from mentors, improve your idea and develop a working model or prototype.

The best ideas will get an opportunity to reach the State-Level Finale and may receive support for further development and incubation.

Why Participate?

Hackathon 3.0 is more than just a competition. It is an opportunity to:

  • Learn how to identify and solve real-world problems.
  • Explore the use of Artificial Intelligence and digital technology.

3. Screening

Submitted ideas will be reviewed and shortlisted based on the hackathon's evaluation criteria.

4. Mentorship

Shortlisted participants will get guidance from experienced mentors and experts.

You will learn how to improve your idea, use technology effectively and develop a better solution.

Participants will get an opportunity to learn and work on their ideas.

With the help of mentors, you can turn your idea into a prototype, model, application, device or other practical solution.

6. State-Level Finale

The selected teams will present their innovations before an expert jury at the State-Level Finale.

7. Incubation & Further Support

Promising innovations may receive support to take the idea further, including opportunities for development, collaboration, research, patent support or incubation.

How Will Ideas Be Evaluated?

Every idea will be looked at from different perspectives:

Innovation
Is the idea new, creative or different?

Real-World Impact
Can it solve a genuine problem and help people?

Feasibility
Can the idea actually be developed and used?

Use of AI & Technology
Does the solution use AI or digital technology in a meaningful way where appropriate?

Prototype
Has the idea been developed into a model, application, device or working solution?

Presentation
Can the team clearly explain the problem and their solution?

Scalability
Can the solution be used by more people, schools, communities or other parts of Uttarakhand?

What Can You Win?

A total of 50 awards will be presented to outstanding innovations.

Depending on the award category, winners may receive support such as:

  • AI-enabled laptops or tablets

  • Innovation grants
  • Opportunities for further development and incubation

Awards and support will be provided as per the official programme guidelines.

More Than a Competition

Hackathon 3.0 is designed to create a long-term culture of innovation in schools.

We want to build an environment where:

Every School is an Innovation Lab.

Every Teacher is an Innovation Mentor.

Every Student is a Problem Solver.

A small idea from a classroom today could become a solution that helps an entire community tomorrow.

Learn. Create. Innovate. Solve.

You don't need to wait until you become an engineer, scientist or entrepreneur to solve a problem.

Start with a problem you see.
Think of a solution.
Use technology.
Build your idea.
And show the world what you can create.

Be a part of Hackathon 3.0.

Register your idea and start your innovation journey with SCERT Uttarakhand.
